The Solid-Sounds Ladder rack pays homage to the iconic mid century modern Staples Ladderax furniture design still coveted today. The issue of Ladderax furniture of this era is that it was never built to support the weight of hifi equipment and therefore isn't an ideal solution for housing equipment. 

Solid-Sounds have taken the essence of this 50+ year old design and applied our knowledge and expertise to the design meaning you can now have the iconic look but designed with your equipments needs incorporated. One of the really cool features of our design is that shelves can be moved,  changing the configuration and spacing of the rack in minutes.

Offering customers the look and feel of a high quality piece of furniture that elegantly shows off the equipment housed without being too intrusive. This design addresses many common issues our customers present us with including it being modular, very strong, gives easy to access cables whilst hiding them, offers great ventilation and is of course very room decor friendly.

Available in a number of real wood veneer finishes each rack is hand finished with a high quality satin hard wax oil finish to retain the natural beauty of the wood grain and texture. Each rack will be full grain matched meaning the grain continues seamlessly from one tier to the next.

Finishes available include: American black walnut, Oak, Ash, Sapele (Teak), Cherry, Beech & paint finishes including the timeless black ash of course.

Available in both single or double width configurations each rack is built to your exact spacing requirements. This customisation ensures that your equipment is housed in a space that frames your it and avoids having unsightly gaps above equipment. Additionally we are able to incorporate vinyl storage into the design meaning your favourite records are to hand as the urge to play them arises.

Common requests with this rack design include the addition of a dedicated turntable levelling platform, sculpted rear shelves to aid cable dressing, Infrared friendly glass door, wood floor friendly feet and increasingly castors on the base layer to allow the whole rack to be manoeuvred when access to the back is required quickly.
