The HEX3 is a compact 3 way passive open baffle speaker built with exacting standards, craftsmanship & statement aesthetics.
Designed for music lovers that want to immerse themselves in a sonic experience that most box speakers simply cannot do.
The HEX3 has the rare ability to paint pictures with sound; delivering both realism and dynamics that can create goosebumps and tears in equal measure.

Defining the styling of the HEX3 loudspeaker is not easy with their unique looks and stance they can easily be at home in any setting be it contemporary or traditional. We set out to design a speaker that breaks from the traditional slab of wood design often seen with open baffles instead trying to create a piece of art that happens to sound amazing too.
Physical time alignment of drivers
The geometric steel frame positions each baffle in a way that ensures all drivers are physically time aligned to guarantee a beautifully coherent sound reaches the listeners ears.
So what makes the HEX3 so special
Fast & textured Bass
The HEX3 15" bass driver is really fast as it doesn't have to fight against any internal cabinet pressures. This freedom to move quickly delivers instant attack & decay just like a real instrument. Once you've heard open baffle bass with its texture & visceral qualities, it is really hard to return to one note boxy slow bass.
Midrange purity
The HEX3 utilises a high quality 8" paper coned midrange driver to deliver clarity & pinpoint sound stage that instantly engages the listener. The small baffle that the midrange uses is less affected by the usual baffle refractions.
Sparkle
The HEX3's horn loaded true ribbon tweeter seamlessly integrates into the presentation creating air and sparkle to enhance the sonic experience. The linear response of the tweeter means its seamlessly integrates into the HEX3's presentation
World class crossover
The HEX3's onboard passive crossover designed in partnership with Alchris Audio only uses premium components including WBT Nextgen binding posts. The external crossover sits within the structure of the speakers frame and is then decoupled to optimise its perfromance. Each HEX3 crossover has the ability to adjust the midrange output to ensure it works optimally in your listening space.
Optimised wiring
The custom wiring loom at the rear of the speaker is discrete and uncluttered. The cabling used is very high quality Cardas copper to ensure the tonality of the voicing is rich & yet precise.
Room friendly
The HEX3 is a compact floor-standing loudspeaker that is tuned to the room by making small placement adjustments until the HEX3's are dialled in and sonically disappear. Each room is different but from our experience they perform at their best when placed away from the front wall by approx 80cm. The dipole radiation pattern means that side wall reflections are minimal making their placement easier than conventional box speakers.
Advanced baffle construction
All three baffles are individually shaped to address baffle edge cancellation. Constructed using a multi material constrained layer dampened (CLD) process, this is used to aid vibration dissipation. Continuous grain patterns of the real wood veneers is used across all three baffles to add to the look and feel of this premium product.
Form meets function
The HEX3's striking looks aren't just skin deep. Each of the three drivers voice coils are physically time aligned to produce a beautifully coherent sound. Each baffle is strategically shaped with the aim to spread the baffle edge cancellation and adverse baffle reflection that can impact the speakers ability to disappear.
Compact and easy to place
The HEX3's compact dimensions are just 84cm tall, 54cm wide, 25cm deep
yet they create a soundstage that is simply huge! At just under 27kg they are substantial but not impossible to move so if you can't leave them in their optimal position they can simply be slid out of the way until the next session.
